Hi, I’m Marcus, a dedicated Maths tutor specialising in 1-to-1 online tuition up to GCSE level.
I recently completed my A-levels in Maths, Business and Geography, achieving strong results, and I’m now taking a gap year. I have met an offer from Durham University to study Finance. I’m particularly interested in pursuing a career in finance, where I can continue developing my analytical and mathematical skills.
Alongside my studies, I have gained experience helping students with Maths and understand that every student learns differently. My approach is to make lessons clear, supportive and tailored to the individual, helping students not only improve their grades but also build confidence in their ability.
Whether a student is struggling with a particular topic, preparing for GCSE exams, or simply looking to push their grades further, I aim to make every lesson productive and approachable.
I’m passionate about Maths and enjoy helping others understand concepts that may initially seem difficult. I look forward to helping each of my students make progress and reach their full potential.
I offer private 1-to-1 tuition online up to GCSE level. These sessions take place on Microsoft Teams and are an hour long.
£20/hour
Fully online, using Microsoft Teams
Sessions are available on weekday evenings, or Saturday mornings (depending on availability).
I tailor each session to every individual student and can help with homework tasks, teaching specific topics or ideas that students struggle with, exam preparation or confidence building.

Foundation tier sessions are currently fully booked.
Higher tier sessions have a few spaces remaining.
£12.50 per week, paid monthly in blocks of £50

Weekday evening – same day and time each week
Each session includes:
Teaching and explanation of key GCSE topics
Support from two tutors, ensuring students receive plenty of individual help
Interactive PowerPoints and resources
Quizzes, games and activities
Worksheets and exam-style questions
Icebreakers and teamwork activities
Optional homework and past papers
Homework and papers are optional, but any work submitted will be marked and returned with individual feedback and guidance to help students understand where they can improve. The aim of the group sessions is not only to improve mathematical knowledge and exam technique, but also to help students develop confidence in maths and confidence in learning alongside others. All sessions are fully online, allowing students to learn from the comfort of their own home while still having an interactive and supportive classroom experience.
